When
to Begin: Worksheet 2 is a 3 hour
prerequisite for Class 2. Because this worksheet evolves,
do it only during the
week before you hand
it in. Before proceeding to Step 1, watch this video clip.
STEP
1: In an email's subject line, type
your name
and "Worksheet2>NV" if you are taking the course in
North Vancouver or "Worksheet2>R"
for Richmond. Send your blank email
to the address at the top of this page.
STEP
2: Print this 865
pixel wide image (don't print a screenshot) sized so lines near
top corner are
2 inches apart. Keep
your worksheet crease free (it's for ICBC)
and use a pen when you
begin writing on it in Step 5.
STEP
3: Get
a stopwatch to
track your Worksheet 2 time. If you read at an average speed,
you will need 3 hours to complete this worksheet.
STEP
4: Review
this course information:
A
> Parts 1-2-3: The Course consists of 3 Parts.
Each Part has a 3 hour, online Worksheet that concludes
with a 3 hour, in-person Class. Each Worksheet is a prerequisite
for its Class and it helps determine what is done during the
Class. Because the Worksheets evolve, do each one only
during the week before you hand it in.
B
> Outdoor Activities: Each Class has many outdoor activities
(even if it is raining or cold). Before coming to each Class,
check the hourly weather forecast and bring an umbrella
if there is any chance of rain. If there's any chance
that you will feel cold outdoors, wear a warm jacket.
C
> ICBC Course Document: If you complete Parts 1-2-3
and the car Lessons within 1 year, you will receive
an ICBC Course Document for two Grade 11 credits. If
you give the document to ICBC before the start of your
first road test, your N-stage time requirement will be
reduced by 6 months if you have no driving prohibitions,
driving violations with demerit points, or at-fault crashes
while you are an N-driver.
STEP
5: Find
a driver
who has been in a crash while sitting in the driver's seat and ensure
they have never been interviewed by you (for another worksheet)
or anyone else (for their worksheet).
At the bottom of your sheet, describe
your interviewed driver's crash and draw
a diagram of the crash scene. Refer
to each vehicle as a letter (see example below) and use
"A" for the driver you interviewed.
Ask
the driver to do the Colors Exercise (20 seconds at redredredred.red
website). Write the driver's color
after "Color >" on your sheet. During the classes,
color perception will be discussed.
STEP
6: Read
each File and its linked Sections of the Motor
Vehicle Act:
>
If you understand everything in a File/Sections, circle
File's # on
sheet.
>
If you don't understand everything in a File/Sections, underline
File's #.
STEP
7: Read each Page
in Chapter 5 of the ICBC Manual:
>
If you understand everything on a Page, circle
Page's # on
sheet.
>
If you don't understand everything on a Page, underline
Page's #.
And
then, follow the
directions posted with Clips 5,
Units 5, and Sets 5.
STEP
8: Read each Page
in Chapter 6 of the ICBC Manual:
>
If you understand everything on a Page, circle
Page's # on
sheet.
>
If you don't understand everything on a Page, underline
Page's #.
And
then, follow the
directions posted with Clips 6,
Units 6, and Sets 6.
STEP
9: Read each Page
in Chapter 7 of the ICBC Manual:
>
If you understand everything on a Page, circle
Page's # on
sheet.
>
If you don't understand everything on a Page, underline
Page's #.
And
then, follow the
directions posted with Clips 7,
Units 7, and Sets 7.
STEP
10: After each "Not Understood >" on
your sheet, write the
number of underlines for that area. After
"Stopwatch", write the hours
and minutes now on your stopwatch.
STEP
11: If you have spent 3 hours or more on this worksheet,
go to the next Step; otherwise, do
the following until you have spent 3 hours:
Think
of driving topics that interest you and explore
fact sources for those topics, then list the
topics and fact sources on a piece of scrap paper.
STEP
12: Print your name
on the "WORKSHEET 2" line. If you spent at least
3 hours on this worksheet and you followed all of the directions,
put your signature
on the "3 Hours" line.
STEP
13: Bring A-B-C
to the Day 2 class:
A >
Properly completed Worksheet 2 and scrap
paper list(s)
B >
Phone
for its camera and browser
C >
Umbrella or warm jacket depending on weather possibilities
